Turkey Tulle/Yarn Wreath

So I finished my Tom Turkey wreath today.  I think He turned out pretty nice!!  I think the only thing I would do different is to put more tulle in and less yarn.  I didn't realize until I looked at the pictures that it is almost even and I wanted it to be 2/3 tulle and 1/3 yarn.  But I still think he's pretty cute!!

Hope you are enjoying the start of fall wherever you are!!  I can't wait for everything apple and pumpkin!!  And cool crisp days with clear blue skies!!  I hope you enjoyed this wreath!!

Until next time...

Patriotic Tulle Wreath

I finally finished putting the stars on my patriotic tulle wreath that I made for July 4th.  Yeah I know I'm about 6 weeks late, but better late than never right?!?!

I've moved my crafting area from my extra bedroom on the main floor to the finished basement and am very happy with the change.  The lighting is much better, I have so much more space to spread out, and I have a sliding glass door to open along with a ceiling fan for ventilation.  I think I've done more crafting down there in the last month than in the last 2.5 years combined that I've lived in my current house!!  I've also been working on some re-organizing of my crafting supplies.  Maybe once I finish I'll post some pictures of my organizing ideas.  Enjoy the wreath!!

I think this may be one of my favorite tulle wreaths I've made so far!!

For the stars I cut out different sizes from glittery white craft foam.

I was hoping to find glittery dark blue tulle, but alas I couldn't.  :-(

I wish you could actually see that the stars are glittery.

I was surprised about how much red and white tulle I needed.  Thankfully I had some scraps left from other wreaths!!

Very patriotic if I do say so myself!!

I hope you enjoyed the pictures of this wreath.  Hoping to get around to posting some more recipes soon, including some more ice cream ones!!  Enjoy the last few weeks of summer.  Until next time...

Pink Butterfly Tulle Wreath

So this is the pink butterfly tulle wreath that matches the purple one I already posted earlier this spring.  I made them for an online auction that my sister hosted to raise money to help cover their adoption costs.  Both wreaths sold!!  This just screams girly and spring!!

I hope you enjoyed this wreath.  Stay tuned for more crafts, and maybe some recipes!!  Until next time...

Purple Butterfly Tulle Wreath

Here is the Purple Butterfly Tulle wreath that I made to donate to my sister's online auction raising funds to support their 3rd adoption of a little guy from South Korea.  It turned out fabulous!!  Please see below for the information for their website and bid on this wreath if you like it.

I just love the way this wreath turned out!!

Of course I had to add some embellishments!

Pretty purple, glittery butterfly.

Close up of the colors.  It's really dark purple, light purple, dark teal, light teal, and light brown.
I know the colors look a little weird in the photos.

Peacock feather.

Please bid on my wreath to support bringing my new nephew home!!

Please visit the Ellenberger Family Adoption Auction to bid on this wreath or a lot of other great stuff.  Or search for Ellenberger Family Adoption Auction on Facebook and "like" their page.  The auction will take place from April 21-27, 2013.  Please support this great cause and help them bring their new little guy home to his forever family.

Maybe another tulle wreath to donate to the auction and some recipes coming later this week.  Off to try my hand at making Raspberry Sweet Rolls now.  I'll post the recipe and the outcome later.  Until next time...

Easter Tulle Wreath

So over the weekend I finished my Easter tulle wreath.  I like the way it turned out.  This is the third one I've made.  I've also done a fall one and Christmas one.  I really like the color combination.  Definitely works for spring.

I like the Easter egg pick as an embellishment.

I think I used a 16" styrofoam wreath form.

I alternated 4 colors with a glittery one.

Looks pretty nice on my door!

Another close up of the eggs and colors.

Hope you enjoy!!  Happy Easter!!  Check back later this week or weekend for my 2x4 shamrock post for St. Patty's Day!!
